Liquor Shops To Be Closed In Noida Tomorrow? Here's What Govt Order Mandates For Feb 5
Though the government has ordered the closing of schools and colleges in Delhi on polling day, public transport facilities, including Delhi Metro and DTC buses will continue to run.

The stage is set for the high-stake Delhi Assembly Elections on Wednesday (February 5) as the ruling Aam Aadmi Party eyes a third term and the BJP trying to wrest the control of the state.
The voting for the elections will be held in a single phase on all the 70 seats on Wednesday from 7 am to 6 pm. The Delhi government has announced a public holiday on February 5 to ensure maximum participation of the 15.5 million voters.
In view of the elections, the government has announced several measures, including closing of government offices, schools and colleges. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that there will be a public holiday on February 5 for all government offices, local and autonomous bodies, and public sector undertakings in view of the polls.

Meanwhile, the government has also ordered the closing of all schools and colleges in the national capital on the polling day. However, public transport facilities, including the Delhi Metro and DTC buses will continue to function as per the schedule.
Are Liquor Shops Closed In Delhi NCR?
Though most of the shops and amenities will continue to function on February 5, cinema halls and liquor stores will remain closed on Wednesday in view of the polling.
The Delhi government has announced closing liquor shops and establishments serving alcohol from 6 pm on February 3 to 6 pm on February 5. The liquor shops will also be closed on Saturday (February 8), on the day of the counting of votes, as per the government order. Meanwhile, clubs, star hotels, restaurants, and other establishments will also not serve any alcohol.
Apart from Delhi, the liquor shops within 100 metres of the Delhi-UP border will also remain closed on Wednesday.
According to a report in The Times Of India, 23 shops will be closed in Kaushambi, Bhopura and Loni areas. Meanwhile, none of the vendors in Noida will be affected.
The excise department had set up security checks at Kalindi Kunj and Kondli on the Delhi-Noida border to intensify the search for liquor smuggling in view of the polls.
