FIR Against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan As Voting Underway In Delhi

Delhi Elections: An FIR has been registered against Delhi AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan for election code violation amid voting in the national capital. Khan is the incumbent MLA from the Okhla seat. The case was filed after he was seen campaigning with more than 100 supporters in Zakir Nagar Tuesday night.
The case was registered under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with the punishment for disobeying orders given by public servants and Section 126 of The Representation of the People Act, 1951, which prohibits public meetings during the silence period.
FIR Against Delhi CM Atishi
A case was also registered against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi for MCC violations in Kalkaji on Tuesday. Police said she was accompanying party supporters who allegedly interfered with an officer's work at Fateh Singh Marg. A case was registered against Atishi's supporters because they misbehaved with the policemen and blocked the way of Ramesh Bidhuri's nephews by posing as members of the Election Commission.
The police also filed a case against BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri's nephew. In a tweet, DCP South East Delhi said: "FIR No. 106/25 is registered u/s 221/132/121(1)/3(5) BNS at 0S Govindpuri for causing obstruction in discharge of public duty & assault while on duty. Further investigation is in progress."
After the incident, Atishi said: "The Delhi Police illegally took into custody two youths who were reporting and making a video of MCC violations. No action was taken against those making the violation. Hope that the Election Commission intends to have free and fair elections in Delhi."
