'Equitable Justice Denied': Jagan Protests In Delhi Over Andhra 'Violence', Akhilesh Yadav Extends Support

YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital on Wednesday raising concerns about the alleged deteriorating law and order situation and violence in Andhra Pradesh. This marks Reddy's first visit to Delhi following his party's defeat in the recent assembly elections. As part of the protest, Reddy also inaugurated a one-day photo and video exhibition at the India International Centre. This exhibition showcased what the YSR Congress Party claimed was targeted violence against its cadres in Andhra Pradesh.

The exhibition was attended by Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut also joined Former Andhra Pradesh CM and YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy at YSRCP's protest against Andhra Pradesh govt at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy voiced his concerns during the protest and said, "We stand before this country in Delhi and we question whether democracy is prevalent or not in Andhra Pradesh, where the word democracy means equitable justice. Today in the state, equitable justice is denied, and democracy stands limping. Within 45 days of the government coming into power, more than 30 people have been murdered, assaults are taking place, leading to attempted murders, and several properties have been vandalized." 

Reddy also criticised current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's son, Nara Lokesh, for allegedly promoting a red book containing a list of politicians targeted for action and assault. "This kind of hoarding is displayed all over the state," Reddy claimed.

"Today, they are in power, tomorrow we can come into power. Yesterday we were in power, but we had never propagated such kind of behaviour. We have never encouraged assaults and properties to be vandalised. Today, the situation is different in Andhra Pradesh," he alleged.
